Supported Operating Systems
The following operating systems are supported for use on URHnet:
- Microsoft Windows Vista (All Versions)
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition Service Pack 2
- Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
- Mac OS X
- Mac OS 9
If your operating system is not up to date with the latest Service Packs
or other updates you must download them before moving in. If your
operating system was not listed at all above it is an unsupported operating system.
Unsupported systems can be used;
however, they are not officially supported by Housing. This means you will be required to upgrade to one of the
systems below before you can receive help from a NetTech. You can update your operating
system inexpensively using student the
CITES WebStore.
If you do have a Microsoft OS, you need to have a legal license in order to receive updates. To find out if
you have a legal version of Windows see the Microsoft website.
